Abstract: Nowadays, with the progress of economic globalization, the economy and tourism in Anhui Province develop rapidly, and the number of foreign tourists coming to visit Anhui is increasing day by day. Therefore, it is necessary to study the English translation of scenic spots in Anhui Province. From the perspective of skopos theory,this paper selects the National Tourism and Leisure Area Around Chaohu Lake as the research object, and proposes four translation strategies for different types of scenic spot names, respectively transliteration, literal translation, free translation, and the combination of transliteration and literal translation, to perfect the English translation of the names of scenic spots in the National Tourism and Leisure Area Around Chaohu Lake, beautify Anhui's "external business card", enhance the tourism experience of foreign tourists and provide reference for translators to rationally and normatively translate Chinese names of scenic spots.
