Abstract: The Anhui Provincial Tunxi People's Education Center was the central institution for social education in Tunxi and the southern Anhui region during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. It was established due to the strategic importance of Tunxi and the significant increase in its population during wartime. The center's activities were centered around the core mission of supporting the war effort and national salvation. It employed a dual approach of propaganda and education to conduct a wide range of activities, including daily propaganda, collective ceremonies, reading and literacy programs, health and hygiene education, and arts and entertainment. Although the overall effectiveness of its educational efforts was limited, the center made notable contributions in strengthening the war effort, enhancing the quality of the populace, and disseminating modern civilization.
