Abstract: In 1927, the central government of Nanjing launched a land consolidation movement throughout the country. At the same time, driven by various purposes such as responding to the central policy, developing wasteland, adjusting land ownership structure and increasing taxes, Anhui provincial government has carried out land consolidation throughout the province. After 1927, Anhui provincial government established land bureau and land consolidation preparatory office to take charge of land consolidation. In 1932, the land consolidation preparatory office of Anhui Province decided to carry out the pilot work of land consolidation in Baduhu, Dongliu County (now Baduhu Village, Dongzhi County), and began the pilot work of measuring Baduhu land. After the measurement, the land registration was carried out and the local land data were obtained. From the Baduhu case, we can see that there were many problems in the land consolidation work in Anhui Province, including unreasonable plan, insufficient funds and no close contact with local forces. Baduhu land consolidation pilot work is an important entry point for the study of land consolidation in Anhui Province in the Republic of China.
