Abstract: From the perspective of Chinese-style modernization, deepening the reform of the ecological civilization system is the fundamental driving force for comprehensively promoting the construction of a beautiful China. From a broader perspective and wider fields, it is also an inherent requirement for the coordinated advancement of the "fiveaspect" overall layout, a practical necessity for continuing to solve ecological problems, and an important path to enhance the discourse power of the socialist system with Chinese characteristics. On the new journey, we must adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping's thought on ecological civilization to deepen the reform of the ecological civilization system; persist in system construction as the main line to improve the basic system of ecological civilization; uphold the principles of systemic thinking to strengthen the ecological environment governance system; adhere to the new development concept to improve the green and low-carbon development mechanism. Improving the ecological civilization system provides a solid institutional guarantee for effectively meeting the people's needs for a good ecological environment and promoting the construction of a beautiful China.
