Abstract: In new era, it is very important to conduct researches on how to improve the running of local application-oriented universities, which have accounted for half of higher education. All kinds of colleges and universities should further clarify the internal and external connotation of good running, focus on the four aspects of good guidance, law, teachers and students, and tradition, adhere to cultural education, application research, integration of production and education, innovation and entrepreneurship education, and teaching reform, and respond positively to the three key points of management, curriculum and teachers. During the course of constant exploration and reform, local undergraduate universities will run efficiently and make better achievements.
