PROGRESS IN SYNTHESIS AND APPLICATION OF FUNCTIONALIZED CARBON NANOTUBES

In recent years, carbon nanotubes derivatives become the research focus because of their unique physical and chemical characteristics and broad application prospect. Functionalized carbon nanotubes were synthetized mainly by the methods of#br# covalent bond and non-covalent bond. The former is the use of carbon nanotubes produced oxidation with other functional active groups occurring etherification, amidation, alkylation and in-situ polymerization reaction; The latter makes organic functional group molecular winding, coating or grafted in carbon nanotubes surface by non-covalent bond. In this paper, the synthesis methods of carbon nanotubes derivatives are reviewed, especially the methods of covalent bond and non-covalent bond are introduced. The existing problems of the synthesis methods are also analyzed. In the meantime, the application prospect of nanotubes derivatives is discussed.#br#
