Abstract: To address the need for cultivating specialized talents in materials chemistry with an agricultural focus at agricultural universities, this paper presents the design of a virtual simulation experiment titled "Preparation, Processing, and Performance Testing of Fully Degradable Cellulose Film". The experiment consists of three modules: the preparation and processing of fully degradable cellulose film, degradation performance testing, and the testing of physical and chemical properties. By utilizing virtual simulation technology, the experimental processes and phenomena are effectively simulated and demonstrated. Students can engage in interactive operations repeatedly, allowing them to master key experimental techniques such as cellulose extraction, modification, film casting, and the evaluation of mechanical and physicochemical properties. Additionally, they can gain insights into formula design principles and the mechanisms of cellulose degradation, thereby achieving educational outcomes that closely resemble actual laboratory experiences. This teaching approach combines virtual and real elements, fostering a highly exploratory learning environment. It not only overcomes the challenges associated with conducting practical experiments but also enhances students' innovative capabilities, ultimately contributing to the development of new talents.
