Abstract: As a key component of the "Double First-Class" initiative, scientific research laboratories in universities play a crucial role in bridging theory with practice, cultivating research-oriented talent, and advancing scientific research. This study examines the current operational status of scientific research laboratories in general local universities through methods including literature review and inductive analysis. It focuses on aspects such as the organizational structure and management systems of these laboratories. The study proposes several strategies, including strengthening the management and organizational structure, establishing full-time management teams for scientific research laboratories, improving basic management systems for research equipment, laboratory access, safety management, responsibility traceability, and other key areas. Furthermore, it explores the adoption of technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT) to address the existing challenges faced by scientific research laboratories.
