Abstract: The university student union is the main student organization under the leadership of the Party and the guidance of the League, in which the majority of students carry out self-education, self-management, self-service, self-supervision. It is also the bridge between the school management and students. Through the analysis of the micro cases of the student union in the new era, such as "not-in-my-back-yard attitude", "small group", "second transmitter (who doesn't do the real work)" and "show affection in public", this paper makes clear the significance of the reform of the student union of colleges and universities, puts forward the reform thinking of strengthening the value guidance, improving the organizational support and deepening the work style building, so as to further strengthen the foundation for improving the organizational reform and innovation of the student union of colleges and universities.
