Fencing, as a fashion sport with high requirements, has prospered mainly in economically developed areas. It is in its initial stage in Anhui Province, and there are few related researches. By means of questionnaire, interview and filed survey, this paper investigates 7 youth fencing clubs in Anhui Province. The results show that fencing in Anhui Province has developed rapidly in recent years, but there are problems including lacking general awareness, low comprehensive quality of coaches and inadequate facilities. Measures such as enhancing publicity, strengthening the training of coaches, improving infrastructure, and optimizing management mode can be expected to solve the current problems of fencing development in Anhui Province and promote its sustainable development.
