Abstract

Shusterman's artistic theory of "dramatization" not only embodies the foundation of the philosophy of language analysis, but also, influenced by the aesthetics of pragmatism, pays attention to the usefulness of definition. The usefulness of art definition lies in taking a certain position through the aesthetic importance of art entity or art itself, thus enhancing the aesthetic understanding of art. The artistic theory of "dramatization" includes the context of frame presupposition and the intensity of stimulus brought by vividness. As a dramatic art, the former focuses on the content of context, distinguishes it from the content of real life, and becomes a "non-realistic" work of art. While the latter tries to complete the output of its own intensity in the process of display, and stimulate individual psychological feelings, so as to bring forward artistic vitality. The relation between the two balances the contradiction and conflict between the aesthetic experience of naturalism and the social framework of historicism, making them coexist with theoretical growth.
