Heart-to-heart talk is one of the main ways for college counselors to carry out ideological and political education for college students. Effective heart -to -heart talk can improve the effectiveness of ideological and political education. However, at present, college counselors generally have such problems as grasping "two ends" and ignoring "the middle", insufficiently "preventing" and coldly "dealing with matters", adopting the methods of "one to many" rather than "one to one" to handle situations. This is mainly attributed to the quality of students,counselors' ability and the lack of attention from colleges. Therefore, college counselors should proceed from the following four perspectives: establish a "people-oriented" concept, innovate the heart-to-heart talk methods, and develop practical ability, to solve the problems in heart-to-heart talk?and effectively enhance the effectiveness of ideological education.
