The supply of basic public services in rural sports plays an important role in promoting the development of rural economy, society and culture. In the past 70 years, great progress has been made in the basic public service of rural sports. By using the methods of documentation, questionnaire and interview, this paper combs the development, evolution, actual situation and characteristics of the basic public service supply mechanism of rural sports in China from the historical and realistic perspectives, analyses its performance, explores the existing practical difficulties, and explains the urgency and conditions for the innovation of the supply mechanism of the rural sports public service in the new era.
