湘鄂西革命根据地作为土地革命战争时期中国共产党领导的主要革命根据地之一，在文化战线上面临着改造落后文化，打破国民党文化“围剿”，教育与宣传党的革命政策、路线和方针的问题。因此，中国共产党通过基础教育、社会教育和红军教育来发展文化教育事业，又利用歌谣、戏剧、标语、印刷品来丰富文化宣传形式。这些颇有成效的文化建设实践，启示我们在文化建设中须坚持中国共产党的正确领导，加强农民的文化教育及自觉肩负起新时代下文化建设使命。

As one of the main revolutionary bases led by the Communist Party of China during the Agrarian Revolutionary War, the revolutionary base in Western Hunan-Hubei was faced with the issues on the cultural front including transforming backward culture, breaking the "encirclement and suppression" of Kuomintang culture, and educating and publicizing the Party's revolutionary policies, lines and principles. Therefore, the Communist Party of China developed cultural and educational undertakings through basic education, social education, and Red Army education, and used ballads, dramas, slogans, and printed materials to enrich cultural publicity forms. These effective cultural construction practices have inspired us to adhere to the correct leadership of the Communist Party of China in cultural construction, strengthen farmers' cultural education, and shoulder the mission of cultural construction in the new era.
