《尔雅音义》中“又音”种类繁多，通过整理研究，发现七种类型：“又音”与“首音”音异义同；“又音”为异文注音，首音为字头注音；“又音”与“首音”音异义异；“又音”为字头注音，“首音”为异文注音；“又音”与“首音”都不为字头注音；“又音”与“首音”音同；“又音”为协韵改读。“又音”不仅体现了音变构词现象，同时还反映了后人改撰《经典释文》的情况。
